Star Wars: The Bad Batch and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier are just two of the new shows coming to Disney+ over the next few months.
Disney+ is a breakaway hit. With almost 100 million subscribers in just over a year, somehow Disney has one of the biggest and fastest growing streaming services in the world. The only issue back in November 2019, was that the service really didn’t have any noteworthy originals.
That changes with The Mandalorian, Disney’s breakaway hit, which then led into WandaVision, another hit, with the company finally picking up pace with originals, with a whole bunch ready for the next few months. Alongside big budget miniseries like The Falcon and The Winter Soldiers, there’s smaller shows such as High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and even other series such as Loki.
The list below, sourced from The Verge, doesn’t cover every film and series announced to arrive at Disney+ in 2021, it’s a pretty heavy originals list, with many more almost certifiably coming to the service at a later point. The Book of Boba Fett, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, and What If…? are all great examples of 2021 films and shows with no set release dates.
Newest releases appear in March, likely to coincide with WandaVision’s March 5th final episode, which would probably drive off many subscribers.
