Roku Ultra (2020 Edition)

Roku Streambar

Roku Smart Soundbar

Voice remote and high quality sound + 4K streaming

Rokus are great. My family personally owns three or four in the house, even though we have two smart TVs. If you’re not satisfied with what your smart TV has to offer, or you don’t have a smart TV, Rokus can be a life saver for you. Roku streams content through the internet, then transmitting the video and audio through HDMI into your TV. The company recently expanded into soundbars, including soundbars with built in 4K Roku players. That’s all at a great, budget price point,

These are high quality products, and even though I make no money from a purchase through here, I’d recommend buying one for anybody. Great interfaces, great sound, great quality, and great apps mean a great Roku ecosystem. Check out these five on sale below!

Roku Premiere HD 4K HDR

As Roku says, 4K and HDR streaming made easy

This isn’t even Roku entry level Roku, which would be the Roku Express, although it’s $5 cheaper. It also comes with HDR and 4K, providing a high quality budget experience. The remote is the standard remote for Rokus, although you still get the four sponsored buttons. The next few have volume and additional controls however.

Roku Streaming Stick Plus

4K, voice controls, TV controls and long-range WiFi

My personal favorite Roku, and the one that’s sitting in front of me at my desk, while I’m typing this. For $50, this is a great deal. For $39, it’s even better. You get a stick instead of a brick that needs a clear signal, and you get long-range wireless. There’s also the voice remote, with volume controls for the physical TV, and you can turn it on and off. It’s great. I say buy it if you’re stuck on medium options.

Roku Ultra (2020 Edition)

Dolby Vision + Atmos, Bluetooth streaming, headphones

This is the fancy Roku, with a sleek packaging and a big brick for a base. That allows this Roku to have incredibly fast loading times, with a remote finder and personal headphone port through the remote. The remote alone is like $50, which makes $79 for this beast a good deal. Add in faster WiFi, and a longer range, and this is the beefy package.

Roku Streambar

Built in Roku with a soundbar premium speaker

Higher quality streaming, higher quality sound. While not as feature heavy as the Roku Ultra, it has a speaker to make up for it. I haven’t personally used this Roku, but I’ve heard that the sound is extraordinary for $100, especially when similar speakers go for $300. Through in the ability to use this as a full blown built in Roku as well, and Dolby Atmos, and it’s great. It also has Bluetooth, and obviously the speaker has complete integration with the Roku system.

Roku Smart Soundbar

Voice remote and high quality sound + 4K streaming

A bigger version of the Streambar, with the ability to pair with a subwoofer and additional wireless speakers, allowing a big, modular home theater setup. This is really just the other soundbar, but with higher quality audio, for bigger TVs, and bigger rooms, although not really any additional features are added.
