2020 has been rough, and with that, I know thousands of people are looking forward to the holiday season to help ease some stress. The only issue for some is that with everything going on this year, there’s been no time to plan gifts or get something for someone you love. This post is dedicated to gifts under $300, ironically consisting entirely of technology.

The $100-$300 range is generally for decent sized gifts or a thoughtful present for someone that you love, which would be relatively expensive, but not bank breaking. In this gift guide, we provide some ideas for that range that we think you’ll enjoy.

These prices are subject to change, and current prices were taken from 11/7/2020

Bose Frames Tenor

Speaker sunglasses with updated designs and improved sound

Bose’s brand-new Frames Tenor is part of a new revamp for the original glasses, each with their own unique design. And yes, they are sunglasses with Bluetooth speakers built into them. According to report too, they sound incredibly good, and come in “Tenor, Soprano and Tempo.” All come with a rechargeable battery, Bluetooth, incredible sound quality, and other features, and are a perfect gift for audiophiles and others.

Apple AirPods Pro

Noise cancelling wireless earbuds for the Apple ecosystem

AirPods Pro are amazing. They’re small noise cancelling earbuds that I’ve been using them everyday, and they’ve held up incredibly well. They also happen to be on sale on Target, Amazon, Best Buy, and some other stores. These have a controversial, but comfortable design and fit, with some surprisingly solid bass and sound quality overall. The $249 earbuds also have active noise cancellation and now include spatial audio. These fit perfect into your ears and the Apple ecosystem.

Oculus Quest 2

A lighter, cheaper, and more powerful update to the Quest

The Oculus Quest 2 is Oculus’ second Quest. More powerful, lighter, brighter, sharper, cheaper, and everything else, this is the ultimate wireless VR device. Released just weeks ago, the Quest 2 has incredible graphics for a portable headset, and some incredible games given the limitations of not having a gaming PC to power it. This is an incredible gift to techies or those who want to experience VR at its finest and cheapest.

Nintendo Switch Lite

The true on-the-go console brought to you by bright colors

The Switch Lite is the only ‘current’ generation console you can get for under $300. Compared to the Switch, its big brother, the Lite is smaller, lighter, and has a longer battery life. Both devices have the same game library, but the Switch Lite has built in controllers. This portable game console allows you to take your games anywhere. Nintendo’s gone all out on the library for the Switch and Switch Lite, creating a less powerful console that makes up for it with its unique design and game library. After disappearing from stores earlier this year, the Switch Lite is back in stock at some places, but you might need to order now to claim yours.

Apple HomePod Mini

New price, new sound, new design vs. the $299 HomePod

The super cheap HomePod Mini is Apple’s newest smart speaker, which combines Siri with incredible sound quality, in a small device with a small price. You can play all of your music, podcasts, connect from your phone, and more. This little device connects incredibly well with your smart home devices, as well as with your Apple products. The Mini packs some high quality sound into a $99 package (vs $299 HomePod v1), making it a true competitor to Amazon’s Echo. Demand’s high however, so you might want to get in your order quickly. Read our HomePod Mini in-detail “review,” here.

New Apple Watch SE

Value Apple Watch with all the features of the others

Being the most affordable Apple Watch ever, the SE is incredibly amazing in many ways. This watch boasts a more powerful processor, a Retina screen that’s 30% larger, and added software over the Series 3. This connects with your Apple products, allowing a continuation from your other devices, but with Apple’s incredible SE software and hardware, it turns the watch into its own device, complete with its own apps and software. The New Apple Watch SE is currently available $50 off on Amazon, making the cheapest Apple Watch even cheaper.
